Her work experience includes narration for a true crime program on the Discovery Channel, narrating three books at Learning Alley for children with learning disabilities. She has voiced three books for ACX. Maria has also completed a four-week Prime Time Narration training for TV.

Committed to be the best in the field and to stay abreast of the latest voice over standards and trends, Maria continually augments her initial Edge Studio training in New York City with classes, mentoring programs and coaching through Global Voice Acting Academy, Gravy for the Brain, and Ann Ganguzza’s V.I.P.eeps. She has studied with and coached by David Rosenthal, Tom Pinto, Marc Cashman, J. Michael Collins, Johnny Heller, Carol Monda, Scott Brick, Julie Wilson and many others.

Education & Early Experience
Maria received her MFA in Acting from the New York University Tisch School of Arts and for several years acted in various off-Broadway productions.
In time, Maria became an academic administrator for NYU Tisch School of the Arts Theatre Program. Her next move took her in a somewhat different direction: she became a lawyer, practicing Workers’ Compensation and Social Security Disability law. This makes her a natural for legal narration or any voice over project that requires comfort with legal jargon.
And through her time as a lawyer, Maria never lost her love of acting, gravitating back to voice over work even while still practicing law. She now brings all her focus, experience and skills to her voice acting career and to her audiobook narration.
Her legal background makes her a natural for legal narration voice over projects that requires comfort with legal jargon. Maria has also extensively trained in medical narration and is quite comfortable with communicating technical information in a competent, warm, authoritative manner.
Maria is great at taking direction and can quickly adjust to the needs of a director.

Personal
In her spare time, Maria enjoys walking, yoga, meditation, off-Broadway theater, computer games, and writing. She’s currently taking a course in writing children’s picture books.
Maria was born and bred in New York State. She moved to New York City many years ago to study acting at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, and still lives there today in the wonderful East Village.
